Dawn K. received her BA in Mathematics from Merrimack College. She went on to receive her MS in Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. She started out as a software Engineer and soon discovered she enjoyed training and teaching. She went back to school to receive her secondary education certification in teaching and has been in the classroom since 1994. Gregg received his B.S. in Education- Social Science area major from University of Maine, Farmington. He received his M.S. in Educational Administration from the University of Southern Maine, his Certificate of Advanced Study- Educational Leadership from the University of Maine, Orono and finally his Doctor of Education, Educational Leadership from the University of Maine, Orono. Gregg’s experience covers teaching grades 4-12, Principal for 10 years and then work in residential homes for young boys and girls for over 20 years. Working with at risk youth has been a passion his entire life. Gregg recently completed his Executive Skills Coaching Certification through our signature collaboration with Peg Dawson.
Test Prep Specialist
Brian received his B.A. in mathematics from the University of Cambridge, U.K., his B.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Warwick, U.K., his post-graduate certificate in Education from the University of Southampton, U.K. and finally his M.A. in Writing from the University of New Hampshire. Brian is a writing tutor, teacher, lecturer, and Poet. He has been teaching for 11 years in the U.K. and USA. For New England Tutors, Brian specializes in SAT/ACT prep, creative writing, college essay writing, and math through Algebra 2.
Jennifer received her B.S. from Clemson University in Biological Sciences. She went on to receive her M.A. in Teaching: Secondary Science from the University of New Hampshire. She has her Massachusetts Teaching License 9-12 Science: Biology and her New Hampshire License 7-12 Science: Biology and General Science. She has been teaching and tutoring for over 13 years in the areas of math, science, technology and study skills. She has had additional experience with learning disabilities, anxiety and executive functioning challenges.
In her free time, Jen enjoys soccer, painting, drawing and spending time with her twin boys.
Elizabeth received her B.S. in Elementary Education K-8 and Special Education K-8 from the University of Maine. She holds certifications in Maine professional K-8, HQT status, professional K-8 teacher of Disabled Students, and Wilson Reading and Language level 1. Elizabeth has been teaching and tutoring for over 30 years and brings a wealth of knowledge of elementary teaching and special learning situations. Elizabeth recently completed her certification for Executive Skills Coaching through our signature ESC series with Peg Dawson.
Math & Science, SAT/ACT Specialist
Ron is a local boy graduating from Bishop Guertin in Nashua. He went on to receive his B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Eckerd College in Florida. Ron has been with us since 2011 and has helped many of our uniquely challenged, and mainstream students alike find success with all levels of Math, including Trigonometry and Statistics, as well as the Sciences from Biology, Chemistry, and Earth to Geology. Ron also specializes in working with students struggling with anxiety.

Susan received her B.S. in Recreation and Parks Administration specializing in Therapeutic Recreation from Illinois State University. Susan completed her advanced training in the Orton-Gillingham method of remediation in 2009 and has since worked successfully with students in the Dover Schools, Rochester Schools, and the Children’s Dyslexia Centers – Seacoast Learning Center. Susan is best at working one on one and has worked with a range of disabilities.
Susan lives in South Berwick, ME and is very active in her community and the local Boy Scouts.
Special Education, Home School Specialist ★
Deborah settled in New Hampshire from Vermont where she resided for almost 17 years raising her family and homeschooling 3 of them. She received her B.S. in Physical Education from Plymouth State College. Over the past 30 years she has been a school teacher- grades K-12, Physical Education teacher, coach and instructor at the high school and college level (Lacrosse, Cross-country, Soccer, Softball, Field Hockey, Basketball), and a Math and Reading tutor.
In her spare time, she has enjoyed teaching Sunday school, being a youth group leader, workshop creator, and presenter. Deb is happiest when she is working with vibrant and motivated young students.

Dawn received her AS in Computer Science from North Shore Community College. She then received her BS in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts and is finishing her MS/PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science from UMass as well. She has spent most of her career in the professional world until 1999 when she took a position as satellite coordinator for AP coursework at Alton Central. Since then she has had a love of mentoring and tutoring in everything math. Additionally, she has tutored and taught at both UMass and Hampshire college in Computer Science and various mathematics courses.
Reading Writing Specialist, Executive Skills Coach
Alicia received her BS in Education from Regis College. She went onto receive her MA in Teaching with an elementary 1-6 endorsement. She has additionally been trained in Wilson Reading, Handwriting Without Tears, and DIBLES. Alicia has been a teacher and tutor for 20+years as well as being a founding parent board member for Mill Falls Charter School-Manchester and a Home School evaluator for the State of NH. Alicia has extensive experience with IEP’s and has completed our Executive Skills Coaching certification with Peg Dawson.
Executive Skills Coach
Cheryl received her BA in Psychology with a concentration in AA Alcohol and Chemical Dependency from Keene State College. She then went on to complete the Certified ADHD/Executive Functioning Skills Coach program at UNH. Cheryl was a Special Education Teacher for 11 years focusing her talents on children with Autism and ADHD.
Math Specialist, SAT/ACT ★
Don received his B.A. in Communications from the University of Massachusetts, and his B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern in Boston. He comes to New England Tutors after a 35 year career as an engineer in the defense and aerospace industry. Don taught many technical courses to young engineers during his career. His focus is math and science (Physics and Chemistry) with a special talent for SAT/ACT prep. As a New Hampshire resident, he enjoys skiing, kayaking, and hiking.
Roman B. received his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He went onto receive his M.S. in Statistics from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. Roman has been teaching and tutoring since 2010 grades 8-college. He has been tutoring SAT prep since 2013. Roman currently works for an educational company creating formulas and math problems for tests, but his love is working one on one with his students. His specialty with New England Tutors is High School math and SAT/ACT prep.
Abbey M. received her BS in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell with a minor in Psychology. Abbey has worked with student grades K-11 both in academic tutoring as well as through her Soccer coaching. Abbey began as a pre-med student, so her love and knowledge of science is high. For New England Tutors, Abbey specializes in math and science K-12.
Laura received her BA in Mass Communications and English with a Public Relations minor from the University of Maine, Orono. She went on to earn her M.Ed. from the University of Maine, Orono then completed her Alt 4 certification for Special Education (K-8). She holds her NH teaching Certificate for English 5-12 and General Special Education K-12. She has been tutoring and teaching since 2005. Her positions most recently have been Special Services at Winnacunnet High School, Extended Schoolyear Associate for North Hampton Schools and Special Education Teacher at Epping High School. She has training in both Wilson Reading and Read 180 and has had beginning training of OG.

Akilah received her B.S. in Wildlife Management/Ecology and Music Education from the University of New Hampshire. She has been teaching and tutoring since 2006 working with a diverse group of students’ grades 5 -12. Her experience includes working with individuals with social/emotional disabilities and those with ASD. Akilah’s specialty, with New England Tutors, is science and math through Geometry, middle and high school content. Akilah is an avid outdoors person enjoying hiking, climbing and cycling throughout NH.

Karen received her B.A. in Psychology from New England College. She then went on to receive her B.A. in Elementary Education and Special Education with a focus in English education and writing from New England College. She then received her M.A. in Teaching from Grand Canyon University. Karen has been teaching and tutoring for 16 years, grades 5-12, and covering English, Reading, Writing and Math through Algebra 1. She holds certifications in both North Carolina and New Hampshire. Karen is currently working on her Master’s in Social work at UNH and has successfully completed our Executive Skills Coaching program with Peg Dawson. Karen loves the outdoors; hiking, camping, volleyball but her first love is working with struggling children.

Beth studied abroad at the National University of Ireland for English and Irish cultural studies. She received her B.S. in International Business with a minor in Collegiate Seminar/English from Saint Mary’s College of California then went on to get her M.S. in Teaching English from the University of New Hampshire. She has taught English, Science and Math at the Middle School level and College Prep and Honors English at the High School level for over 10 years.
She holds her teaching license in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and resides over the border in Berwick, ME. She specializes in college essay writing as well as ACT and SAT prep.

Laurice received her AB in Mathematics from Colby College, Master’s in Mathematics from Bowdoin College, a BS in Computer Science from Boston University and finally her Master’s in Education from the University of New Hampshire. Laurice has been teaching and tutoring at both the high school and college level for over 30 years. She has taught at Abbot Academy, Winnacunnet High School, Philips Exeter Academy, and UNH to name a few. For New England Tutors, Laurice is a math and SAT/Act prep specialist.
Kathy (KC) C

Kathy (known as KC) has a B.A.. in English from Barnard College in NYC, NY, and went on to receive her M.B.A. in Marketing from the School of Business at Columbia University. In her previous life, she could be found on Madison Avenue as a copywriter and freelance financial/marketing/speech writer. Her specialty is College Prep English and Writing. KC can be found helping the non-profit organization 68 Hours of Hunger.
Reading Specialist, Special Education
Margaret received her BS in Nursing from the University of Vermont. She went on to receive her teacher certifications in K-8 general education, 6-8 math, and Reading Specialist designation. She is Orton-Gillingham certified as well as having 7 years experience with Wilson reading. Margaret has extensive experience and additional professional development to work with students who live with AD/HD and executive function deficiencies. Margaret recently received her certification for Executive Skills Coach through our signature training program in collaboration with Peg Dawson.
K-8 Math, Special Education
James received his B.S. in Mathematics Education Middle School 5-8 from Plymouth State University. He has been teaching and tutoring since 2013 and is currently a title 1 math tutor for grades 6-8 in the Pelham School District. He has coached boys basketball and girls and boys soccer as well as run several after-school programs. James is an avid snowboarder and skateboarder.

Barbee received her BA in English Education from the University of New Hampshire. She is currently completing her M.Ed. at UNH as well. She has been teaching and tutoring English K-12, Special Education, Adult Education and ESL for 17 years. Although Reading and Writing is her specialty, Bee has taught all general subjects K-12.

Melissa received her BS in Physical Education from Westfield State College and went on to receive her Teaching Certificate in Special Education from NHTI. She has her HQT in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education, as well as her NH Teaching certificate in general Special Education. Missy has over 26 years of experience teaching, tutoring and coaching. She has additional experience and training in Project Read, Edmark, S.P.I.R.E., ESLB and Reading milestones programs. Missy recently graduated from our signature Executive Skills Coaching program in collaboration with Peg Dawson. For New England Tutors, Missy is a reading writing specialist and Executive Skills Coach; working with a diverse group of special needs students grades 1-Adult.

Katherine received her BS in Mathematics with a minor in Physics from Belmont Abbey College, North Carolina. She has done business/statistics work at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and has worked with students for the past 2 years as Dean of students at Northeast Catholic College. Katherine is a specialist in Algebra 1, 2, 3, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Geometry, and Physics.
