Social Competency in Health Education

This summer join New England Tutors at a Social Competency in Health Education Class intended for students with Social Skills Deficits (Autism, Asperger’s, Non-Verbal Learning Disabilities).  Unlike most youngsters, teens with social skill deficits, including those diagnosed with ASD, Asperger Syndrome and Nonverbal learning disorders are unlikely to learn about sexual norms from peers or even from health class in school.

For parents of these young people, however, there’s a second level of difficulty: teaching even the most basic social aspects of sexuality. The significant piece about sexuality is you’re not just teaching information. You’re also teaching values and social competence.

For more detailed information on course content, or for any questions regarding the course, please download the course summary below.  The cost of this course is $500 per student.
